When is Overwatch League?
Preseason Exhibition: December 6th to 9th (all 12 teams)
Matches run Wednesday to Saturday, three matches per day, at the Blizzard Arena in Los Angeles.
- Stage 1: January 10 - February 10
- Stage 2: February 21 - March 24
- Stage 3: April 4 - May 5
- Stage 4: May 16 - June 16
Playoffs: July 11th to 22nd
Divisions and Teams
Pacific: Dallas Fuel, Los Angeles Gladiators, Los Angeles Valiant, San Francisco Shock, Seoul Dynasty, Shanghai Dragons
Atlantic: Boston Uprising, Florida Mayhem, Houston Outlaws, London Spitfire, New York Excelsior, Philadelphia Fusion
Each team plays 40 games during the season. 20 within their division, and 20 cross-division.
Top team of each division at the end of the regular season qualifies for post-season play and receives a bye in the Championship Playoffs.
Who Goes to Playoffs?
After Stage 4 in June, six teams move to post-season play:
- 2 teams - Top Pacific and Atlantic.
- Next 4 teams with best regular season record. (REGARDLESS of division)
Bonus Title Matches
At the end of each stage, we get two “title matches” featuring the top 3 teams of the stage. They'll play a seeded playoff for $125k in performance bonuses. Results of these matches do not count towards regular/post-season results.
Stage Title Match bonuses:
1st: USD $100,000
2nd: USD $25,000
Total: USD $500,000 over four stages
Regular Season placement bonuses:
1st: USD $300,000
2nd: USD $200,000
3rd/4th: USD $150,000
5th/6th: USD $100,000
7th/8th: USD $75,000
9th/10th: USD $50,000
11th/12th: USD $25,000
Total: USD $1.3 million
Championship playoffs placement bonuses:
World Champion: USD $1 million
Runner-up: USD $400,000
3rd/4th: USD $100,000
5th/6th: USD $50,000
Total: USD $1.7 million
All matches will be 4-map sets.
Map pool for entire season will be announced before start.
All-Star weekend in August. More details to come at a later date.
